The Festival of the Arts and the Sawdust Festival are just two of the events taking place in Laguna Beach each year.

The Main Beach has basketball and volleyball courts, as well as picnic tables and artisan-crafted checkerboards throughout the area. For a less crowded beach, the 1,000 Steps Beach is more laidback than the Main Beach. Nature explorers should visit Crystal Cove State Park, which offers mountain biking, hiking, scuba diving and skin diving. Tidepools can be found all over the area, but be gentle – don't pick up any of the animals for keepsakes.
